Women Family Empower (WFE) has launched a new digital literacy initiative to empower Afghan girls with essential computer and online safety skills. The program aims to reach 150 girls across multiple communities, providing them with practical training in technology, communication, and digital tools.
The curriculum includes lessons on typing, basic programming, online research, and internet safety. WFE believes that equipping young girls with digital skills will not only increase their confidence but also create opportunities for education and future employment.
"Knowledge is power, and digital literacy is the key to unlocking the future for Afghan girls," says Fatima Rahimi, Program Director at WFE.
